Program Description & Educational Objectives
In this activity, two experts in adult GHD discuss the epidemiology, recognition, and ideal management of this poorly recognized patient population. They illustrate the nuanced treatment of this disorder, focusing on detailed baseline assessments, various dosing considerations, issues with compliance, and the multifaceted goals of GH therapy for this diverse group of patients.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Review epidemiologic data on adult growth hormone deficiency (GHD), with a focus on specific causes; and assess common comorbidities associated with the condition
- Evaluate various testing procedures available to diagnose adult GHD and apply them appropriately
- Review key strategies to optimize GH (growth hormone) supplementation, including titration, individual dosing, and monitoring; and evaluate side effects and safety of treatment with GH

This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of endocrinologists, endocrinology nurses, and other clinicians involved in the management of patients with hormone-related and metabolic disorders.
