Program Description & Educational Objectives
In this activity, a panel of experts in cardiology discusses optimal management of patients with acute coronary syndrome requiring antiplatelet therapy.
Upon completion of this activity, participants will be able to:
- Apply data from evidence-based guidelines and clinical trials on antiplatelet therapy for patients with ACS, with the goal of improving patient outcomes and managing risks of ischemic events
- Properly tailor antiplatelet therapy to patients’ specific needs, including individuals with comorbid conditions such as diabetes, hyperlipidemia/dyslipidemia, and hypertension
- Evaluate data on emerging antiplatelet therapies and their possible role in patients with ACS
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of cardiologists, internal medicine specialists, and family practice physicians, as well as other clinicians involved in managing patients with acute coronary syndrome.
Requirements for Successful Completion
In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME/CNE/CPE credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
