PeerView Press shares your concerns about maintaining the privacy of personal information
collected on the Internet. PeerView Press ensures that confidentiality of data
relating to individual visitors to a medical/health web site, including their

information is optional, on our registration forms. PeerView Press will not collect personally identifiable information
without consent and will not share this data with any external partners.
PeerView Press may request information from its visitors or users such as feedback from evaluation questionnaires in order
to improve or enhance its current services or develop new ones.
Use of Cookies:
Cookies are a web technology used by web sites to identify a visitor as he/she navigates through the web site. We use cookies
to personalize our web site and to track activity across all our web sites. Cookie technology helps PeerView Press determine
which features and services are important to which audiences so that we may know where to invest our ongoing development and
creative efforts.

Continuing Medical Education:
In order to apply for credit for a Continuing Medical Education ("CME") or a Continuing Education ("CE") activity through
PeerView Press, we may require certain personal information from you such as your name, postal address and email address.
PeerView Press may also collect aggregated (non-personally identifiable) information about the activities undertaken by our users.
We may use the information that we collect through CME/CE activities in a number of ways:

In accordance with ACCME regulations, PeerView Press provides personally identifiable information about you
and credits issued to you to the accredited CME/CE providers who certify CME/CE activities posted on our web site.
The purpose of these reports is to maintain records that you can request from the accredited
provider for up to six years;

Only aggregated data will be provided to commercial supporters of CME/CE activities on PeerView Press.
In addition, only such information that is relevant to their interests and/or programs that they support will be provided;

Internal PeerView Press editorial and customer support staff have access to files containing personal information,
including evaluation forms and aggregated CME /CE participant information. These files can be accessed in order to
respond to user questions or comments. Our staff will only use aggregate information and evaluation data in assessing
educational needs and planning marketing activities. Personally identifiable information will not be used for this purpose.
Users who apply for CME/CE credits may choose to have PeerView Press remember their personal information for future visits.
In this case, PeerView Press will record the supplied information in a secure encrypted cookie on the user’s hard drive.
When applying for credit for subsequent programs, PeerView Press will recognize the user by the Internet cookie and pre-fill
contact information fields in the submission form.
 
Collection of Personal Data from Children:
PeerView Press web sites are designed and intended for the use of adult medical professionals, and are not intended for,
or designed to be used by, children under the age of 18. PeerView Press does not knowingly solicit information from
children and we do not knowingly market the site or any goods or services to children. No one under the age of 13 should
submit any personal information to PeerView Press.
 
Use of Personal Data Collected:
PeerView Press may use the personal data it collects for internal purposes, namely, for administering the site,
personalizing the site for you, analyzing trends, calculating overall usage statistics, for editorial, feedback,
marketing and promotional purposes, and content improvement. PeerView Press directs editorial and other content to
readers who are most likely to be interested in information about specific subject matter, as stated by the user.
