What is a PeerView Podcast?
PeerView Podcasts are a a collection of audio or video content from the latest PeerView programs. The podcasts are categorized by subject and are powered by subscription software called RSS. Just like a magazine automatically gets delivered to your home when you subscribe, a podcast delivers new content directly to you -- without you having to check on the Web site for updates.
How do I Subscribe?
To subscribe to a PeerView Podcast you will need podcasting software. There are a number of free programs that you can download to play your podcasts - iTunes is the most common.
On the PeerView Podcast page a link for either “Subcribe in iTunes” or “Link to XML Feed” can be found next to the listing of available podcasts. By clicking on the iTunes link your browser will automatically start up iTunes software (if installed on your computer) and bring up the details for that podcast. You can then select the subscription and all the current programs for that topic will be downloaded to your computer through iTunes. You can then listen/view to programs directly from iTunes or download to your iPod. Alternately, you can right click on the desired “Link to XML Feed” link and select "copy shortcut." Then you can paste this XML link into your podcasting application. Click here to see a list of available podcasts
What do I get when I've subscribed?
When you subscribe to a PeerView Podcast, you can go directly into your podcast software and have it search for new content. All the latest featured audio or video content will automatically get downloaded for you. You can then choose to listen or view the content right then, or download it to a portable listening device for later viewing or listening.
What do I get with the video podcast?
PeerView Video Podcasts provide the added benefit of being able to see slides along with the audio for each program. In order to use this feature you will need iTunes software (available for free). To view this content on a portable device you will need to have a video capable iPod.
