Program Description & Educational Objectives
In this activity, two experts in hepatitis B discuss screening and management of hepatitis B in the primary care setting.
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be better able to:
- Implement rigorous screening for HBV based on understanding of the risk factors and need for prompt evaluation
- Counsel patients on risks and benefits of HBV treatment based on patient- and disease-related factors
- Evaluate and monitor response to therapy in patients with HBV
Target Audience
This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of primary care physicians and other clinicians involved in diagnosing and managing patients with hepatitis B.
Requirements for Successful Completion
In order to receive credit, participants must view the activity and complete the post-test and evaluation form. There are no pre-requisites and there is no fee to participate in this activity or to receive CME credit. Statements of Credit are awarded upon successful completion of the post-test and evaluation form.
